These include:
- Early leaving exemption
- Service academies, study support centres, teen parent units
- Boarding allowances
- Home schooling (home education)
- Trades Academies - for students in years 11 to 13, who are interested in a career in trades or technology. They can combine study at a trades academy with studies towards their National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) and a nationally transferable tertiary qualification Level 1, 2 or 3.
Preparing for and dealing with emergencies and traumatic incidents
Your school or ECE may face a natural disaster or pandemic. Other traumatic incidents could include criminal acts or student suicide. It’s important to be prepared for these events and know how to respond if they happen.
