Under section 148 of the Education Act 1989, certain primary schools are designated as ‘normal’ or ‘model’ schools.
These schools are specifically used for initial teacher education and in the past were usually associated with a teacher education provider. If you are a teacher at a normal or model school, you will receive an allowance of $2,000pa, as set out in clause 3.203.22 of of your collective agreement.
